What's Brewing

The Java Journey has begun! After a long day of travel on Thursday, we arrived in Costa Rica at about 10pm local time. We were welcomed by a warm evening air as well as many taxi drivers eager to take us to our destination. We stayed at a quaint little place close to the airport and the next day we headed to the capital city of San Jose. It is a bustling city packed with people and cars. It was interesting to see the large presence of American fast food chains and stores, they are everywhere! Once we get out into the rural areas though we are not likely to see the Golden Arches anywhere. The fresh fruit here is very tasty and of course, the coffee is great too! Not too much longer until we're out in the fields! That's it for now, Meg Fitz
